I'm Ryan Allen, the creative mind behind FriedChickenSandwich, I'm a son, friend, dreamer, active community member, artist ,and culinary mercenary. Photography and culinary arts are my passions
My journey has been a series of experiments, constantly evolving, much like the name changes. From leading kitchens in notable spots like Nolens, Reids, Little Spoon, Whole Foods, and Barristers, to taking a step back in 2021 to focus on personal growth and exploration.
Today, you'll find me balancing part-time work in culinary arts while creating art with my camera to help place my thoughts and emotions in the moments that i find in the daily.
Photography is my outlet, my therapist. It's led me to showcase my art at places like the Harvey B. Gantt Center, the Bechtler Museum, and Art Basel. Through my work, I aim to spark conversations about food, climate, and culture and how it all influences  America.
My long-term vision? To blend canvas art with culinary arts, creating a space where creative minds can gather, share ideas, and enjoy good food while creating a little more equal access to a healthy creative life. It's a dream in the making, and my freelance photography is just one piece of the puzzle, helping me pave the way towards this goal while building meaningful connections along the journey.
Thank you for being a part of this adventure. Let's capture moments, share stories, and inspire each other.
